Conquer Cancer Coalition of Massachusetts
The group represents a select number of Massachusetts-based nonprofit
organizations working to support and educate people currently living with
all types of cancer while also working to find a cure. The Coalition will
be the recipient of proceeds from sales of license plates which will help
continue working to Conquer Cancer.
Cotting Connection
It is the mission of Cotting Connection, Inc. to provide those enduring
cancer with access to the resources they need to facilitate physical
and emotional
healing. They also support the right of each breast cancer survivor to choose
the post-surgical care that best meets her recovery needs. They are determined
to make these treatments available and perhaps most importantly, accessible.

Harvard
Center for Cancer Prevention
The Harvard Center for Cancer Prevention is a research and education
center based at the Harvard School of Public Health. The Center provides
leadership
in promoting prevention as the primary approach to cancer control. It conducts
and coordinates research to identify modifiable causes of cancer and translates
the findings into effective prevention strategies at the individual and community
levels. Through the use of reports, publications, seminars and web sites, it
makes information on cancer prevention available to the public.

Cancer Center
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, composed of Memorial Hospital

National Breast Cancer
Coalition
The National Breast Cancer Coalition is the nation's largest breast cancer
advocacy group, with more than 600 member organizations and 70,000 individual
members and supporters. Committed to ending breast cancer, NBCC and its sister
organization, the National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund, work to educate and
train individuals to be effective activists and to influence the public policies
that affect breast cancer research and treatment.
The National Cancer Institute
The National Cancer Institute coordinates the National Cancer Program,
which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination,
and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment
of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients
and the families of cancer patients.
The National Ovarian
Cancer Coalition
NOCC is the leading ovarian cancer public information and education organization
in the United States. NOCC initiated the first toll free ovarian cancer information
line (1-888-OVARIAN), maintains the most comprehensive website for ovarian
cancer support in the world (www.ovarian.org) and has built a network of many
state divisions across the U.S. NOCC’s Board of Directors are diverse
professionals from around the country. The prestigious Medical Advisory Board
is comprised of physicians and researchers active in the discovery of new treatments
and early detection for ovarian cancer.

Surviving
Cancer by Margie Levine
At age 43 Margie Levine, was diagnosed with one of the deadliest forms of lung
cancer: malignant pleural mesothelioma. Four different specialists gave her only
months to live, a death sentence Levine refused to accept. Instead, she marshaled
every known therapy available and created her own program blending traditional
and complementary medicine to fight back. In her amazing book, Surviving

Wellness Community - Greater Boston
The mission of the Wellness Community is to help people with cancer and their
loved ones enhance health and well-being by providing a professional program
of support, education, and hope. All programs are free of charge. Through participation
in professionally led support groups, educational workshops, and mind/body
programs, people affected by cancer learn coping skills that enable them to
regain control, reduce isolation, and restore hope regardless of the state
of the disease.

for Humanity
Medicine for Humanity (MFH) is a non-profit organization committed
to an immediate and significant reduction in the death rate from women’s
cancers throughout the world. The organization provides on-site teaching
by outstanding clinicians, educational resources, telemedicine applications
and assistance in developing sustainable programs to address every aspect
of women’s cancer care: prevention, early detection, treatment
and the complete physical and emotional care of the cancer patient. Since
1995, Medicine for Humanity’s main efforts have been in cervical
cancer control programs for countries around the world and Native American
and underserved populations in the United States.
